Yes. At Shropshire Country Brides, we provide each bride and her party with a personalised and relaxed wedding dress shopping experience. Appointments ensure our team can dedicate their time fully to helping you explore our collections and find your dream gown.
Tip: Saturday and Wednesday evening appointments often book weeks in advance. To secure your preferred date, book early with your bridal party.
How Many People Can I Bring to My Appointment?
We recommend bringing your closest family or friends — those whose opinions you trust.
Our showroom comfortably accommodates up to four guests. If you would like additional guests or exclusive use of the boutique, please contact us ahead of time.
What Should I Bring to My Appointment?
There’s no need to bring anything special — just yourself and an open mind.
For comfort, we ask brides and their party to remove shoes while browsing and trying on dresses. Our plush sofas and spacious showroom create a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying the experience.
How Long Will My Appointment Take?
Your first appointment typically lasts 1.5–2 hours, allowing ample time to:
- Explore our designer collections
- Try on sample dresses
- Consider styles that suit your body and wedding theme
Will I Be the Only Bride in the Showroom?
Not always — there may be other brides visiting the showroom. If you would prefer exclusive use of the boutique, please contact us for private appointment options.
What Sizes Are Available?
Our sample gowns range from sizes 12–28, with full orders available from size 6–34 depending on the designer.
Tip: Bridal sizing often runs smaller than everyday clothing, so many brides order a size larger than they typically wear.
When Should I Start Wedding Dress Shopping?
Wedding dresses usually take up to six months to arrive, with alterations requiring two months before your wedding.
For the best selection and a relaxed shopping experience, we recommend starting your wedding dress shopping 9–18 months before your big day.
However, it’s never too early to explore styles and ideas for your dream dress.

Yes! We offer:
- Off-the-rail sample gowns available to take home immediately
- Certain designers may offer rush order options depending on availability
