Tell Us How You Met and All About Your Proposal …

We were set up by our mutual friend in 2016

We went on holiday to Norway in 2023
It was such a beautiful place.
We went sight seeing for the day with the weather being -15 and the ground piled up with snow.
Tom asked if I wanted to have a walk on an empty beach, I said no at first but later on in the day we drove back to the beach and he insisted we go a walk on the beach.
As we were leaving the beach Tom got down on one knee and with my dream engagement ring, he asked me to marry him

Let’s Talk About The Dress And Your Journey …

The whole experience from start to finish was just amazing. Jackie and the team are so professional yet make you feel like part of the family. They asked questions about the wedding and what sort of vibe it was going to be and really listened to what I wanted and were able to suggest some beautiful dresses that would go with my vision. Even though I did not go to another bridal shop, I wouldn’t recommend anyone go anywhere else. The way I was treated by Shropshire Country Brides was enough for me to not want to try anywhere else. I didn’t say “yes to the dress” on my first visit and I did not feel pressured to. I went back with family on my second visit to try on the two dresses I was torn between. Jackie knew that I was in love with the Stella York 7573 but knew I needed something a little more, she told me that it can be ordered with a “biscotti” underskirt. She then got some fabric that matched the colour and put it under the dress to show me what it looked like and immediately I knew it was everything I wanted in a wedding dress. I can’t thank them enough for helping me find my dream dress.

I wanted a whimsical dress, we were having an outside wedding after the church ceremony and we would be having photos in the trees. My dream was to look like an elf fairy princess. I also needed a dress that would be easy to move about in as we had hired a bouncy castle.

I felt exactly as I hoped to feel in my dress. I felt beautiful and comfortable.

He had tears in his eyes and was nodding as I was walking down the aisle.

Where Was Your Venue And What Made You Choose The Venue …

The church we got married in is where my wonderful Nan is buried. She loved Tom and I know she would have loved nothing more than to be there on our wedding day.
The land we celebrated at after was Tom’s dad’s land who we sadly lost in 2020. He loved that land and planted many many trees down there. We knew having the celebrations there and photos in the trees he planted that we would also be having him there with us.

Are There Any Special Memories You Would Like To Share From Your Special Day …

The whole wedding day was beautiful and fun. Having our children there, our son as the ring barer and our daughter as the flower girl. Having all of our friends and family there to celebrate our love with us. The bouncy castle was definitely one of the highlights of the day as we all had so much fun on there.
We wanted a fun relaxed wedding and that is exactly how it was.

We went for a more earthy theme at the wedding. The bridesmaids wore sage green and our flowers were all dried flowers from home bargains and the range

How Did You Make Your Day Unique To Your Love Story …

The day was just about celebrating together with everyone we love and care about. We wanted the day to be as relaxed as possible and having something for everyone to enjoy it.
We had the bouncy castle, a pool table, two bands and lots of space for people to mingle.

First Dance …

We had Shallow by Lady Gaga, a star is born was one of the first movies we saw in the cinema together and we both loved that song.
We didn’t have a big announcement for the first dance, we just wanted to dance together to a song that meant a lot to us.

Where Did You Honeymoon …

We are yet to decide on a honey moon but will definitely be going away with our children too.
