Jasmine and Daniel Dawson – 21st September 2024
Tell Us How You Met and All About Your Proposal …
We started working together in 2016 and started to see each other in 2017. He invited me over for homemade carbonara but I was so nervous I couldn’t even eat a bite! I felt awful but he was so kind about it!
He proposed to me at my graduation for my masters degree whilst I was expecting our second child! It was perfect
Let’s Talk About The Dress And Your Journey …
The friendly atmosphere was unmatched and I felt so welcomed by the team and I felt that Mel knew exactly what styles to pick for me as I came in quite unsure. I ended up walking out having chose my perfect dress and I couldn’t have been happier!
I knew I wanted something very plain and satin as I was never keen on the feeling of tulle! Mel just ran around the shop and chose the perfect styles based on that brief and after listening to me talk about what I had liked and hasn’t liked she just chose the perfect gown! I wanted the look to be timeless and elegant and I think it definitely ended up that way!
I wore the stunning Ronald Joyce gown, 18705
How Did You Feel In Your Gown On The Day …
Absolutely stunning. I don’t wear dresses but this was perfect for me. I felt comfortable and relaxed and so confident! Everyone told me how much they loved it and I felt so regal swanning around in this huge dress and I wish I could wear it every day!

How Did Your Partner React When They Saw You In Your Dress …
I spent the whole lead up to the wedding confusing him and telling him lies about my dress. He thought I was going to be in a giant dress with lights at one point so I think he was shocked to see it plain. But, his first words were ‘you look gorgeous’ and I was in tears.
Where Was Your Venue And What Made You Choose The Venue …
It was my dream venue as the church next door is where my parents got married!! Last year the venue ran a charity auction where you could bid to win a wedding venue and the money would go to a local charity (Be More Frank) and we won!! Over the mood was an understatement but I didn’t have time to think about it as we only had just under a year to plan!

Are There Any Special Memories You Would Like To Share From Your Special Day …
The night before the wedding during the rehearsal we had the most biblical rain, thunder and lightning and flash flooding and the power in the church even went out. The day of the wedding was completely dry until we decided to leave and then the heavens opened again with more of the same intense weather. Someone was definitely watching down on us and keeping the rain at bay until we were all home!
Tell Us About Your Wedding Colour And Theme …
We went for autumnal colours. Lots of greens for the tablewares and the bouquets were a mix of reds, oranges and dark yellow. My favourite season is autumn so I wanted to pay homage to that!

How Did You Make Your Day Unique To Your Love Story …
For our first ‘meal’ we decided we wanted to do charcuterie as this is something we’ve enjoyed together for years and we consider ourselves to be pros! We asked my carpenter dad to build us a ‘charcuterie cart’ (give it a google!) and everyone had a mini board where they could create their own little cheese and meat platter! It was one of my highlights
First Dance …
Can’t take my eyes off of you / Frankie Valli
We danced together and then had our two little ones join us for the chorus!
